Vangelia Gusterova – House-Museum in Town of Petrich
The fame of the holy woman Vangelia Gusterova (Vanga) gets over the borders of Bulgaria and Balkan Peninsula.
One year ago, when I wrote about Vanga on my website, I didn’t expect the popularity, which this information will gain. The statistic shows that the visitors of www.bulgarianjourney.com always stop by the page about Vanga. This is great news! Nevertheless, this is an obligation for me to widen the information about the phenomena Vangelia Gusterova for my valued readers.

To keep you updated, dear my friend, this time I visited the house-museum of Vanga in town of Petrich.
The town of Petrich is situated in the slopes of the beautiful Belassitza Mountain, just 23 km from my hometown Sandanski, and 10 km from
Rupite,
and population of about 35 thousand.

Town of Petrich
Before moving to Rupite, Vanga was living in town of Petrich with her family. This summer 2008, her house was opened as a house-museum and has plenty of visitors.

The House of Vanga in Petrich
In the house, you could see some personal belongings of Vanga, her prayer room, the guest room, the winter garden. Many presents from grateful visitors are displayed everywhere in the house. You could feel the atmosphere of the house and the spirit of Vanga as she is still alive, and at any time, you will see her sitting quietly and peacefully on the sofa.
